Weekly Observations

  • This Week. Permit activity was up +8% this past week, following a slight down week. The regions with biggest increases in W/W activity were the Northwest (+37%) and the Central region (+60%). The only region with a W/W decline in activity was the Southeast region (-10%).
  • Southwest. A look at some of the region’s biggest solar cities gives mixed results for this past week. Albuquerque (+47%) and Henderson (+58%), experienced major increases in activity, while Honolulu (-8%) and Las Vegas (-4%) were slightly down over the past week.
  • California. California finished the week +13% in permits, with high levels of activity coming from Fresno (+35%), Fremont (+25%), and Oakland (+60%).
