Weekly Observations
- Weekly permits holding up very well in first half of December.
- By this time last year, permit activity was already softening before hitting the hard landing into Christmas + New Years
- Compared to a year ago, permits are ~13% higher….which will likely come down to 8-10% after the slow next 2 weeks.
- West Coast (LAX, Hawaii) has been the big push in recent weeks – Southwest also strong – Texas notably slower.
